Parselex (“Parselex”, “we”, “us”) operates a legal document intelligence platform. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through the Parselex websites and applications (parselex.app (main domain), docs.parselex.app (this website), lexregister.parselex.app (account registration), dashboard.parselex.app and mcp-dashboard.parselex.app (applications)), how we use it, and the rights you have. It applies to visitors of our websites and to registered users of our applications.
1. Data we collect
- Account data. Name, email address and authentication credentials you provide when registering an account.
- Connected-source data. Documents and messages ingested at your direction from sources you connect — for example Telegram, Email, Google Drive, phone records, WhatsApp archives, file uploads, API/webhook integrations, court feeds, SFTP or CRM exports.
- Document content. The contents of legal documents you submit for analysis, including personal data contained in those documents.
- Usage and diagnostic data. Request logs, timestamps, feature-usage events and service health telemetry needed to operate and secure the platform.
2. How we use data
- To provide the service: ingest, OCR, classification, validation, retrieval-augmented analysis, AI translation and report generation on the documents you submit;
- To create and administer your account and authenticate you;
- To secure the platform, prevent abuse and diagnose faults;
- To answer support requests sent to contact@parselex.app;
- To improve the service in aggregate and, where required, with your consent;
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use your documents or corpus content to train third-party AI models.
3. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Performance of our contract with you (providing the service); legitimate interests (platform security, abuse prevention, service improvement); consent where it is the basis for a specific feature; and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Sharing and processors
We share data only with service providers acting on our behalf: cloud hosting, AI inference (large language model) providers, OCR providers (such as Google Cloud Vision), payment processing for paid plans, and email delivery. Each processes data only as needed to provide its function and under contractual confidentiality and data-protection terms. We may also disclose data where required by law, court order or to protect vital interests.
5. Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. Ingested documents and derived analysis artefacts are kept for as long as needed to deliver the service and are deleted upon your deletion request or account closure, unless longer retention is required by law. Operational logs are kept for a limited period.
6. International transfers
Our platform processes matters across multiple regions (including the Americas, Europe, Asia and India). Your data may therefore be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction or objection to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. EEA/UK users may lodge a complaint with their data-protection authority. To exercise any right, email contact@parselex.app.
8. Security
We use TLS for data in transit, authentication and access controls on application surfaces, per-client isolation of document corpora, and role-based access within our applications. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
10. Data controller, changes and contact
The controller of the personal data described in this policy is the Parselex operator. Parselex is currently operated by its founder as an unincorporated project; the operator’s legal name and address, and company registration details once the project is incorporated, are available on request at contact@parselex.app.
